RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday summoned Awami Muslim League chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed along with record on May 24 in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

In his video message on Twitter, Sheikh Rashid thanked the NAB for implicating him in the case.

“I am grateful to NAB that it has also made me a party with Imran Khan in the case of £190 million. Thankfully they also considered me worth £190 million,” he said in his message.

He said police had been raiding Lal Haveli and "my mother's house" for several days. “I want to ask the police to respect women while entering houses. The situation in Pakistan is very bad. Until I get arrested, I will use Twitter twice a day,” the ex-interior minister added.

Mr Ahmed said he would fight his war within the framework of the constitution and law. “I want to tell the good news to the whole nation that the judiciary will win. A few hundred people were humiliated and disgraced after a few hours of siege.

“Decisions will be announced before June 15. The constitution and law will prevail. The judiciary will win. The people of Pakistan will win. Right and truth will win.”

The former minister said, “I will stand firm like a rock. Jail is like house of my in-laws. My luggage is ready. Many thanks to NAB for implicating me in £190 million [scam].”
