Imran urges ticket holders to speed up election campaign

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan urged on Sunday the ticket holders from Lahore to speed up the election campaign.

The ticket holders from Lahore participated in the meeting presided over by the deposed prime minister, in which issues related to the election campaign for the Punjab Assembly elections were discussed.

Mr Khan directed the ticket holders to intensify the election campaign through rallies and door-to-door campaigns in their respective constituencies. He urged the ticket holders to spread PTI's narrative to as many people as possible.

He also directed the candidates to address the concerns of the factions in their respective constituencies to persuade them to join the election campaign. 

On Saturday, Mr Khan he would keep on staging rallies, starting from next week till May 14, and would not take rest until elections were held.

Addressing a pro-CJP rally at Lakshami Chowk, he said caretaker governments in Punjab and KP had lost their terms and constitutional standings adding that he would demand the courts to hold elections in KP too. "This government has brought sensitive price index to half," he added.

He said the way Indian FM Subrahmanyam Jaishankar behaved with our FM Bilawal Bhutto [at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation moot] was "shameful for all of us". "Mr Bhutto, do you even think before spending money on your foreign trips," he asked.
