Haji Ghulam Ali stresses need to hold negotiations

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali said on Sunday that the "face-off" between the parliament and Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) was a bad omen for the country.

He made his remarks during his conversation with Dunya News and underscored the importance of the dialogue. "Negotiations in politics are quite necessary. No progression can be seen in the political scenario without the existence of the negotiations", he added.

"It is the responsibility of the political parties and their leaders to create consensus on the elections. All the political parties and the nation want simultaneous elections. The political leaders are responsible for solving the problems in line with holding the elections in one go," Mr Ali added."

"The parliament and the judiciary have their separate roles to play. If we stand against one another, then the country will have to face consequences," he maintained.
