Pakistan
This comes after a similar decision was taken in Punjab
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Sehat Card Plus, which provided medical treatment to people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was temporarily suspended from Wednesday.
This comes after a similar decision was taken in Punjab, leaving many patients in the lurch.
An insurance company, which manages the Sehat Card Plus, issued a letter to all panel hospitals, head of facilitation of Sehat Card, and district medical officers informing them about the decision.
The letter states that all hospital admissions under Sehat Card Plus were temporarily suspended and new admissions would not be accepted from April 20 until further notice.
According to the new orders, health facilitator card health desks established in hospitals would remain closed.
However, health facilitators, district medical officers, and provincial medical officers would be present to prepare claims.
The Sehat Card Plus scheme was launched to provide quality healthcare services to people living below the poverty line.
