Four-member ECP bench to hear plea
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday fixed a contempt case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leaders Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar, including former prime minister Imran Khan for hearing on Monday (April 17).
A four-member ECP bench will hear the plea.
On the other hand, the electoral watchdog would also hear the prohibited funding case against the PTI on Monday.
Earlier, the ECP had given a last chance to the PTI leaders to appear before it in the contempt case.
ECP had issued notices of contempt to three PTI leaders for uttering accusations against the electoral watchdog in political gatherings, press conferences, and several interviews.
Mr Khan had been served an additional notice of contempt against the ECP chief.
