US allegations baseless, says COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani said that US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen’s statement regarding Pakistan’s links with Haqqani network not based on facts.He said that Mullen knows very well which country was in contact with the Haqqani network, adding that singling out Pakistan was neither fair nor productive.The COAS said that such statements would not only affect Pak-US ties but also war on terror.
