Sepoy Hamid Rasool martyred during exchange of fire with terrorists in Shinwarsak
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – One soldier of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom and eight terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Shinwarsak area of South Waziristan, the military's media wing said on Wednesday.
"During intense exchange of fire, eight terrorists including their commander Jan Muhammad alias Charagh were killed and one soldier embraced shahadat. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the the possession of the killed terrorists," said the ISPR.
The killed terrorists remained actively involved in activities related to terrorism against security forces and killing of innocent citizens.
During an "intense exchange of fire" with the terrorist, 31-year-old Sepoy Hamid Rasool, a resident of District Rawalpindi, embraced martyrdom after fighting "gallantly", the ISPR said.
Meanwhile, another four personnel including two officers got injured.
"The Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers will not go unpunished," the ISPR statement said.
