ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court in the federal capital on Wednesday extended the interim bail of PTI leader Azam Khan Swati in a vandalism case.

The case was registered at the Golra police station against him for alleged riots and vandalism at the Islamabad’s judicial complex during the appearance of Imran Khan in court on March 18.

The Senator appeared before the ATC along with his lawyer Babar Awan who argued that such cases were registered on a political basis. He said hundreds of PTI supporters were nominated in different cases registered after the appearance of Mr Khan in court. He said the PTI leadership had always been respectful to the law and courts.

Later, the ATC judge approved extension in Mr Swati’s bail till April 17 and adjourned the hearing.
