Police empowered with unchallengeable authority to conduct search

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Ministry of Interior on Thursday notified the empowerment of the police to search places without having private security guards blocking their way.
Police have also been vested with the authority to revoke the license of the private security company not complying with the order. Other than that, the police have also been authorised to indict the company. The notification cites difficulties in conducting searches as the police find difficulty while searching private companies.
The notification was also sent to provincial Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs) and Chief Secretaries.
