Pak-US energy dialogues start

First phase of dialogue between the Pak-US working group on energy stated in Islamabad.

Pakistani delegation is being led by Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar while the US delegation by special envoy of the Stated Department, Karls Pascal.The meeting would review hydel and thermal power capability and current energy crisis.Alternate Energy Board, Public Private Infrastructure Board, WAPDA, PEPCO and other institutions would also give briefings at the meeting.This phase of dialogue would continue for two days. Minister Syed Naveed Qamar expressed optimism that the two-day dialogue would go a long way to enhance cooperation and bring much needed efficiency and capacity improvement in the energy sector.
