LAHORE (Dunya News) – The 30th death anniversary of veteran Urdu poet, writer and Sufi intellectual Wasif Ali Wasif has been observed.
Wasif Ali Wasif was born on Jan 15, 1929 in Khushab. He was famous for his unique literary style as few other writers have been cited more in quotations than Wasif Sahib. Being considered a master of aphorism, he had the ability to beautifully depict his views.
His book “Kiran Kiran Suraj” remained a best seller for many years. He used to write short essays on topics such as love, life, fortune, fear, hope, expectation, promise, prayer, happiness and sorrow with a clear aim of spreading the true spirit of Islam.
He died on Jan 18, 1993 and was buried in Lahore.
