PHC issues contempt of court notice to Pesco CEO, others
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday issued contempt of court notices to newly appointed Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) chief executive officer (CEO) Muhammad Jabbar Khan and other respondents.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Musarrat Hilali and Justice Ijaz Anwar heard the plea. The appellant’s lawyer said despite the fact that the court had issued stay order over the CEO’s appointment, the notification of his appointment was released. “The newly appointed CEO broke the lock and entered the CEO office on Jan 12”, he added.
In respose, the court issued contempt of court notices to the CEO and other respondents.
