Arrest warrants issued for Barrister Saif over non-appearance before court

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Spokesperson to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Barrister Muhammad Saif was on Thursday issued arrest warrants over breach of Capital Development Authority (CDA) magistrate orders.

Senior Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif issued the warrants and ordered the Islamabad police to arrest and present Mr Saif before the court on Jan 11.

The CDA maintains that Mr Saif had constructed on the zone 3’s National Park, which is in violation of the CDA’s landscape ordinance and Environmental Regulations 2008. A case had been lodged against him under MLR 82 in 2018 and the CDA magistrate had asked Mr Saif to appear before him on Feb 8, 2018. However, he did not comply with the orders which led the magistrate to issue him the warrants.
