The ongoing spell of monsoon causes further delay in departure and arrival of trains.

According to the Railways authorities, departure of Super Express and Awam Express has delayed due to unavailability of engines, while, Quetta Express and Shah Rukane Alam Express could not depart.Bhauddin Zakrya Express and Pakistan Express are late by 9 hours whereas, Millat Express, Allama Iqbal Express and Khushal Khan Khattak Express are late by 8 hours and 15 minutes.Railways administration said that Awami and Khushal Express will reach Karachi with a delay of 6 hours while Awami express and Quetta express will reach Peshawar from Karachi with 4 and 5 hours delay.Taking the notice of deteriorating situation of Pakistan Railways, President Zardari has summoned a high level meeting of Railways authorities - Railways minister, chairman and general manager of Pakistan Railways.
