Islamabad police seek deployment of armed units for PTI's long march
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad police on Wednesday asked the interior ministry to deploy armed units against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) armed supporters during the long march in Islamabad.
Sources privy to the matter said that, fearing there was “high likelihood” of violence by armed supporters of PTI when they enter the city as part of the long march, the capital police asked the interior ministry to deploy the Quick Response Force (QRF) should be deployed to deal with the armed supporters.
Earlier, Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah brought forward an alleged audio of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur and an unknown person regarding guns and men in the long march and accused party chairman Imran Khan of planning to spread chaos.

According to the audio, PTI leader and former federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur talked to an unknown person about bringing men and guns in the long march.
