Rana Sanaullah accuses Imran Khan, wife of receiving 458 kanals land as graft

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday accused the former PTI-led government of devising new methods for the regulation of corruption in the country. He said that a private housing society donated 458 kanals of land to a trust, while the trust was named after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his wife.

He expressed these views while talking to media along with members of the Federal Cabinet, Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, Federal Minister Musadik Malik, Advisor to the Prime Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira and Federal Minister for Communications Asadur Rehman.

Turning his aim at the PTI Chairperson the Interior Minister said that instead of depositing the amount of Rs. 50 billion recovered in the UK into the national treasury ‘Mr clean’ and ‘Sadiq and Amin’ made adjustment with a private housing society.

According to Rana Sanaullah, in return for the mentioned adjustment the private housing society awarded 458 kanals of land worth billions of rupees to Al-Qadir Trust, while in Bani Gala, 240 kanals of land was transferred in the name of a friend of the former first lady, he continued saying.

He said that signatures of Imran Khan as Prime Minister and the first lady are present on the agreement with the private housing society.

Rana Sanaullah said the Cabinet had set up a subcommittee to uncover the mystery of out of court settlement made in over Rs. 50 billion in the money laundering case by the previous government.

“The former government has used the people’s money ruthlessly for personal gain,” he said.

Further rebuking the previous PTI government he added the agreement was kept secret. The agreement was opened today after the approval of the federal cabinet. Copies are also being given to the media.

He said it has been proved that Imran Khan has gained personal benefits in all matters.
