Aamir Liaquat's family moves court to stop postmortem

Renowned TV host and MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away on Thursday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Family of politician and TV host Aamir Liaquat Hussain has moved court to stop government from conducting post mortem.

According to details, the petition states that the heirs of the politician are against post mortem of their father; however, police is of the view that given the sensitivity of the issue, autopsy is required.

Earlier, SSP East Karachi Abdul Rahim Sherazi said that Hussain’s body will not be given to the family without doing the postmortem, while he added if the family does not want it to be done then they should bring order from the court.

Hussain’s house was also sealed as the police launched investigations into his sudden death.

Police also wrote a letter to welfare organization Chhipa that not to hand over his dead body to anyone.
