Companies demand increase in gas prices

Sui Northern and Southern gas companies have demanded an increase of 17 percent in gas prices.

Secretary Petroleum Ijaz Choudhry told the National Assembly Standing Committee on Petroleum that the gas distributer companies had demanded an increase of 17 percent in gas tariff and the Oil Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) would decide it in next month. The meeting ordered the OGRA to allocate funds for gas schemes.Talking to the media after the meeting, the secretary said that the gas supply to the CNG stations would be suspended for two days instead of three and it would be enhanced to four days after Eid.
