Imran Khan should be given exemption, he may do whatever he can, says Khawaja Asif
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan should be given exemption, he may do whatever he can.
Talking to media, the Federal Minister of Defence said that there is no big meeting in London. He explained that they are going for a goodwill meeting. Since taking oath we were thinking of meeting our leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, he added.
Khawaja Asif said that 8 to 10 people are going to London on a private visit on Tuesday night. He further mentioned that there no political agenda behind their visit saying that our visit to London is not political, our leaders are there.
Khawaja Asif made it clear that it’s going to be a healthy meet up as they will hold political consultations with the PMLN supremo. We will take instructions from him. We will also discuss what the strategy should be in the coming days, he said.
The journalist inquired about the possibility of the meeting being an unusual one in the current circumstances.
While replying to this, Khawaja Asif said that I am a party worker, what extraordinary talk could be done.
I have heard that Nawaz Sharif has reservations about Imran Khan’s exemption, asked the journalist. On that the Defense Minister said that Imran Khan should be given exemption, he may do whatever he can.
