Independent candidate who win Kohat mayoral election join PTI
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Independent successful candidates of first phase of local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tehsil Lachi chairman Muhammad Ahsan and Kohat city mayor Shafiullah on Monday joined ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Afridi, Defense Minister Pervez Khattak and Minister for Science and Technology Syed Shibli Faraz called on PM Imran Khan.
During the meeting, PTI Tehsil Gumbat, Kohat Sajid Iqbal was also present.
During the meeting issues related to party organization and development projects in Kohat district were discussed.
Independent elected tehsil chairman Lachi, Kohat Muhammad Ehsan and independent candidate for Kohat city mayor Shafiullah joined PTI. The two leaders expressed full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Welcoming them in the party fold, the premier expressed the hope that they will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the people of their respective constituencies.
The prime minister stressed upon the public representatives to accelerate their public interaction campaign, besides improving coordination with the district administration for the immediate resolution of the public issues.
