Strict SOPs implemented in Balochistan to curb Covid-19 outbreak

A surge in the coronavirus cases in Balochistan forced the government to impose strict SOPs

QUETTA (Dunya News) – A surge in the coronavirus cases in Balochistan forced the provincial government to impose strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in which it was decided that indoor events will have a limit of 300 guests and outdoor events will not have more than 500 guests.

In the advisory passed by the provincial government, only 70 percent people will be allowed to sit in public transport.

The Balochistan government has taken these strict measures to tackle the sudden hike in the coronavirus cases that has taken over the whole country.

It merits mention here that Pakistan has reported 23 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,353,479. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,065 today.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 7,678persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

516,874 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 458,879 in Punjab, 183,403 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 115,047 in Islamabad, 34,997 in Azad Kashmir, 33,812 in Balochistan and 10,467 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
