Interior Sindh goes on shutter down strike

Interior Sindh observed shutter down strike against rolling back of commissionerate system.

The call was given by various nationalist parties. In Hyderabad, angry crowds burnt tyres and blocked the roads in Qasimabad and Latifabad areas. They also pelted stones on shops. Police immediately reached and took control of the situation.The attendance in schools and government offices remained very thin because of the strike call. The transport from Hyderabad to Karachi, Badin, Thatha and other cities also remained suspended.In protest against the restoration of local government systems, lawyers boycotted the Sukker High Court bench and lower courts. They also took out rallies. There was a complete strike in Sukker’s Shahi Bazaar, Sarafa Bazaar, Shaheed Ganj and Cloth Market. In Dadu and Kherpur there was a total strike against the restoration of local bodies system.
