Heavy rain lashes Lahore, Peshawar

Rainwater accumulated at low lying areas in Lahore and Peshawar after heavy shower on Monday.

Heavy rain hit Lahore and its suburbs on Monday morning which gave relief to the citizens from hot and humid weather. However, rainwater accumulated in the low lying areas. The heavy showers also created traffic problems in the city as roads submerged under water after the rain.Peshawar also received heavy rains and water accumulated in some areas. The rain has broken the intensity of hot weather. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) the recent rain spell will continue for the next 24 hours.
