IPEMC meets Tuesday to decide on winter vacations
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) has been summoned on Tuesday (tomorrow) to make final decision on winter vacations.
The meeting will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood in which the issue of vaccination of children will also be considered.
The meeting will also consider a proposal to shift the winter break to January, while reviewing reforms to the provincial education system.
On Thursday, the government of Sindh announced winter vacations for schools and colleges — public and private — across the province.
Schools and colleges will remain closed for winter vacations from December 20 till January 1, 2022, as per a decision taken by the education department s steering committee.
The decision was taken after a meeting held by the sub-committee today, which also agreed to reopen educational across Sindh on Monday, January 3, 2022.
