The minister says that Punjab takes precedence in raising voice for new province.

Federal Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the people will reject the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, if it does not care for the popular public demand of creating new provinces.The minister said that only people and their representatives had the right to form new provinces.Talking to the media in Lahore, Firdous said that nobody would listen to the party that does not care for the public sentiments.She said that creation of Saraiki province was necessary to eliminate the sense of deprivation of southern Punjab.The minister said that Nawaz Sharif’s suggestion of new units in other provinces was not consultation but dictation, adding that new provinces could also be created in other parts of the country if desired by the locals.She said that talks were on to bring the MQM back in the coalition.The government has implemented on every decision of the Supreme Court and the apex court has accepted the authority of the prime minister, she added.
