Karachi: Rangers, police given special powers in affected areas

The Sindh government has decided to give special powers to Rangers and police in affected areas.

A meeting of MQ, PPP and ANP members under the joint chair of Sindh Governor, the CM and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik at Governor’s House.Representatives of all three parties urged the government to take indiscriminate and prompt actions against the criminals and terrorists.Rehman Malik, Sindh Governor and the Chief Minister said that the Rangers, police and other law enforcement agencies were being sent to the affected areas with complete authority.The Rangers have started patrolling after establishing check posts in different areas of the city.
