Petroleum prices raised ahead of Ramazan

The government has decided to increase price of three petroleum products on Sunday.

According to sources, price of petrol has been increased by Rs 1.90 per litre, kerosene oil by Rs 1.98 while light diesel by Rs 2.So are as the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) is concerned, its price has been maintained stable. The Finance Ministry has refused to follow the order of the Petroleum Ministry.Earlier, the government had decided to keep the petrol prices same during Ramazan.The prices of kerosene oil and high octane and light diesel will be increased. The OGRA has already sent the summary for approval in this regard to the government. The OGRA ha sent the summary to the government owing to the price rise in the international market of petrol by Rs 1.20, and decrease in diesel by Re.50.In the international market crude oil price remained $ 111 which was $ 1.14 more than the previous year. The value of the dollar was also increased by 21 cents. According to the sources the price of HOBC and LDO will be increased by Rs 5.34 and Rs2.13 respectively.
