Islamabad: Police foiled terror plot, four terrorists arrested

Islamabad Police arrested four terrorist from the Sector G-11 and recovered suicide jackets.

According to police, a raid was conducted in slums near Sector G-11 of Islamabad, arresting four terrorists the police recovered the 2 suicide jackets, four hand grenades and weapons.SSP Police Tahir Aalm told the media that terrorist rented a house in Sector G-11 and the police identified one of the terrorists through the rental agreement.Islamabad IGP Binyameen said that one of the terrorists had escaped but police knew that he was hiding in a nearby area. He said that police cordoned off the area to capture the escaped terrorist.The IGP said the suspect told the police that two of them were suicide bombers and were ready to hit their targets.The Bomb Disposal Squad of the Pakistan Army and police jointly defused both the suicide jackets. The IGP said the police had shifted the suspects to an unknown place for further interrogation.He said that the suspected terrorists were activists of a banned militant group based in North Waziristan. The group was involved in terrorist activities in Peshawar and other parts of the country, he added.
