Khawaja Saad Rafique warned that the party will respond to every illegal move

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Muslime League-N (PML-N) has raised serious allegations on the ruling PTI leadership of pre-poll rigging in the upcoming elections of Cantonment boards.

As per details garnered, the PML-N delegation met Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja and submitted written complaints.

Speaking to the journalists after meeting with the CEC, PML-N leader and former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal demanded to take all parties into confidence over Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) matter. “How will we know about if any EVM s software has not been changed,” Ahsan Iqbal questioned.

On the occasion, PML-N stalwart Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the government had planned to rob the elections on the instructions of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. “We have submitted written complaints to the CEC,” he added.

He also alleged that PM Imran Khan was abusing his powers to pressurise independent candidates. He claimed recently, Imran met two independent candidates at the Governor’s House and later both the candidates withdrew their papers in favour of the PTI candidate.

He also warned that the party will respond to every illegal move. “This time we will not allow vote thieves to rob the elections,” he added.

The PML-N leader also said that if the foreign funding case will be dealt on merit, then the entire PTI, including Imran Khan will be in jail. “PTI leaders were using all official resources in Cantonment boards, which included development works, distribution of funds, construction of roads, use of Nadra’s vans etc,” he maintained.
