ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Adviser to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam says several projects are being executed to deal with the issue of global warming.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said our ten billion tree tsunami program has received worldwide recognition.

He said that one billion trees were planted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as per promise made by the government.

He said that five hundred thousand job opportunities were created under this plantation drive in the province.

Sharing a letter written by the Environmental Head of United Nations to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, he said the whole world has appreciated Pakistan s efforts in making the country clean and green.

He said that this drive is helping the country promoting Green Pakistan diplomacy. He said that Saudi Crown Prince is also launching such campaign in his country. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Riyadh in October this year to attend the launching ceremony.

The Adviser said that the government is also working on Electric Vehicles to ensure clean environment.
