PDMA issues rain alert for Sindh
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Monday has issued alert for Sindh in the wake of possible torrential rains.
The authority has advised to take precautionary measures and remove bill boards and holdings in Karachi.
It is to be mentioned here that the concerned department has predicted rainfall in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta and Nawabshah from September 1 to September 3.
The PDMA has also stated that due to heavy rainfall, there is risk of land sliding and flash flooding in vulnerable areas of Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas during next 24 hours.
There is also a risk of urban flooding in major cities of Punjab (Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat and Lahore) during this period.
