Power shortfall reaches 4653 MW

The loadshedding duration continues up to 8 hours in urban and 12 hours in rural areas as usual.

According to PECO authorities, currently, the electricity demand is 17882 megawatts while the production is 13229 megawatts. The hydro power production is 5102 megawatts while thermal production is 1894 megawatts. Likewise, IPPs are producing 6026 megawatts of electricity and the rental power plants’ production is 204 megawatts. KESC is being provided with 750 megawatts of electricity.The power shortfall has reduced by 200 megawatts as compare to the previous day.
