Travel advisory issued for UAE work visa holders

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued new guidelines for Pakistanis with work visas. According to the NCOC, a PCR negative test report 48 hours before the departure of the flight will be mandatory.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, the PCR test must be performed in a UAE-approved laboratory. A Rapid PCR negative test will also be required four hours before the departure of the flight.

According to sources, a meeting of stakeholders was held following the UAE guideline. The meeting decided the testing protocols for the passengers traveling to UAE.

Meeting decided that the Civil Aviation Authority will set up counters for rapid PCR tests at airports. Authentic laboratory counters will be set up in consultation with the airlines.

Airport managers will specify a space for lab counters in the International Departure Lounge.

The NCOC directed that the FIA and ANF increase the number of staff at immigration counters. After rapid PCR test of passengers, boarding should be ensured in due time.
