Ch Abdul Majeed elected AJK PM

PPP's candidate Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has been elected prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Ch Abdul Majeed secured 35 votes out of total 46 while his opponent Raja farooq Haider of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz secured 11 votes. All the 46 members of the Legislative assebly took part in the voting.Acting President Dr Fehmida Mirza and Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi congratulated Ch Abdul Majeed on his success as leader of the house in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly.In their separate congratulatory messages, the Acting President and Deputy Speaker extended warm felicitations to Ch Abdul Majeed. They said that his election as Prime Minister of AJK was an evidence of trust and confidence of the Members of AJK Legislative Assembly reposed in his leadership.
