Pakistan reports 95 deaths from COVID-19, highest since late May

Pakistan has so far conducted 16,393,404 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 95 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,063,125. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 23,797 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,720 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,172 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,168 in Sindh, 4,524 in KP, 811 in Islamabad, 641 in Azad Kashmir, 331 in Balochistan, and 150 in GB.

Furthermore 396,918 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 362,557 in Punjab, 147,452 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 90,093 in Islamabad, 31,069 in Balochistan, 26,421 in Azad Kashmir and 8,615 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 16,393,404 coronavirus tests and 57,233 in the last 24 hours 959,491 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,275 patients are in critical condition.
