Pakistan reports 2,783 coronavirus cases, 39 deaths in 24 hours
Pakistan has so far conducted 15,345,158 coronavirus tests
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 39 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 986,668. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 22,760 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,783 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 10,865 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,697 in Sindh, 4,380 in KP, 787 in Islamabad, 598 in Azad Kashmir, 319 in Balochistan, and 114 in GB.
Furthermore 354,103 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 349,890 in Punjab, 140,293 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 84,399 in Islamabad, 28,884 in Balochistan, 21,811 in Azad Kashmir and 7,288 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 15,345,158 coronavirus tests and 49,247 in the last 24 hours. 918,329 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,508 patients are in critical condition.
