Pakistan reports 1,303 coronavirus cases, 47 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 47 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 938,737. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,576 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,303 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 10,457 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,196 in Sindh, 4,194 in KP, 769 in Islamabad, 560 in Azad Kashmir, 292 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.


Furthermore, 343,499 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 326,413 in Sindh, 135,383 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,001 in Islamabad, 26,084 in Balochistan, 19,675 in Azad Kashmir and 5,682 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

 


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 13,745,973 coronavirus tests and 40,483 in the last 24 hours. 873,543 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,841 patients are in critical condition.
