Soldier martyred in landmine blast near South Waziristan check post
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A soldier of the Pakistan Army, Lance naik Waqas Ahmed, was martyred on Wednesday in a landmine blast near a check post in Kani Gram area of South Waziristan.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
A statement issued by the ISPR said that the Pakistan Army was committed to eradicating terrorism from the country and the sacrifices of its brave soldiers only strengthen this resolve.
