Sindh's water being cut at behest of federal govt, alleges Murtaza Wahab

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh government spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab has alleged that Sindh’s water is being cut off at the behest of the federal government, causing agricultural water crisis and billions worth of losses to valuable crops in the province.

In a statement on Monday, Murtaza Wahab said that incompetent rulers are hell bent on making Sindh barren, adding that the PPP government knows how to fight the case of poor farmers and will not allow their lands to become barren.

Murtaza Wahab said that the selected government has to give Sindh its legitimate share of water. All the parties in the assembly are united on the issue of water scarcity in Sindh but the opposition leader is playing to the galleries, he added.

He said that those who were raised by Sindh are revolting against it. “History will never forgive these betrayers of the land”, said Wahab.
