Matric, intermediate exams to be held from June 23-July 29: NCOC
The provinces can start preparation classes for classes 10 and 12 from May 31
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The examinations for class 10 and 12 will be held between June 23 to July 29, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Saturday.
The decision was made in a meeting of NCOC under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar. Special Assistant to the PM for Health Dr Faisal Sultan also participated in the meeting through video link.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of SOPs and arrangements for vaccination. The meeting while expressing concern over pandemic situation in Sindh expressed satisfaction on over the overall situation in coronavirus across the country.
It was informed in the NCOC meeting that passengers coming from UAE would have to undergo Covid test from specific laboratories and in case of violation, airlines would be fined.
The decision was made after passengers submitted fake Covid test reports, while an integrated quarantine system has been developed in case of a positive coronavirus report.
It further said no tourist above age of 50 years will be allowed to stay in hotels from Tuesday without vaccination certificate in tourism districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The NCOC said same restriction will be applied on tourists age above 30 from 1st July onward.
According to the NCOC, vaccination of teachers has been made mandatory till June 10 to maintain continuity in the education sector. Walk-in vaccination facility has been provided to teachers above 18 years of age across the country.
Examinations for class 10th and 12th will be held from June 23 to July 29, respectively. The provinces can start preparation classes for classes 10 and 12 from May 31, but they should be conducted with coronavirus SOPs intact — on alternate days, said the forum.
