Pakistan stands with oppressed Kashmiris, Palestinians: Shehryar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Khan Afridi says Pakistan is standing with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and Palestine.

Addressing a seminar titled "Palestine and Kashmir Crisis: Call for Justice" in Islamabad on Thursday, he said Kashmir committee is working effectively to expose Indian real face before the world.

He said the whole nation including all political parties are on one page on this issue.

He said Indian regime is replicating the Israeli model in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the world must stand up to prevent it.

He said that Pakistan has effectively highlighted Israeli atrocities and brutalities against unarmed and innocent Palestinians by engaging the several influential countries. He said that Palestinian President Mahmood Abbas also appreciated the effort made by Pakistan in the favor of his nation.

He said Modi regime is silencing the genuine voices and rights activists in Kashmir, depriving families from their very basic livelihood opportunities in a fascist manner.

Speaking on the occasion President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said Kashmir and Palestine issues present examples of worst human rights violations in the contemporary world.

He said both are outstanding disputes and as old as the United Nations itself but yet they remain unresolved.

He said Indian forces in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Israeli forces in Occupied Palestine are violating international laws and committing crimes against humanity. He said both the areas are facing the forced demographic changes and Islamophobic policies.

He said It is the prime duty of United Nations to implement its resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine and provide them with due rights as promised in numerous resolutions.

Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan Ahmad Rabaie, while appreciating and acknowledging Pakistan s efforts to sensitize the world about the deteriorating situation of Palestine, urged international community to work for resolution of the issue peacefully. He also urged the Muslim Ummah to make joint efforts for liberation of Qibla Awwal.
