Pakistan has reported 78 more deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 78 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 861,473. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 18,993 on Monday.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 3,447 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

319,365 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 292,644 in Sindh, 124,484 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 78,200 in Islamabad, 23,447 in Balochistan, 17,945 in Azad Kashmir and 5,388 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 12,228,42 coronavirus tests and 37,756 in the last 24 hours. 762,105 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,846 patients are in critical condition.
