ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday said that resolving problems of the legal fraternity is top priority of the government.

Talking to delegations of bar associations of Islamabad High Court, Jehlum, Sohawa and Pind Dadan Khan in Islamabad on Thursday, he said lawyers have a key role in implementation of the Constitution and rule of law.

Terming lawyers as defenders of democracy, human rights and the Constitution, he said exemplary and shining role of the legal fraternity in upholding the constitution will always be remembered.

The minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan has assigned him the task of resolving the issues of bar associations.

Chaudhry said loan up to Rs 1 million will be provided to young lawyers for construction of their chambers under Kamyab Jawan Program.

He said soon he will visit Rawalpindi and Islamabad bar associations.

On the occasion, the Minister also distributed cheques among the Bar Councils. Three million rupees were given to District Bar Jhelum, one million rupees each to Sohawa and Pind Dadan Khan bar associations.
