Pakistan's confirmed COVID-19 cases cross 800,000 mark

Pakistan has so far conducted 11,588,932 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 70 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 800,452. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 17,187 on Monday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,825 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 7,990 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,599 in Sindh, 3,134 in KP, 665 in Islamabad, 462 in Azad Kashmir, 232 in Balochistan, and 105 in GB.

Furthermore 290,788 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 278,545 in Sindh, 114,077 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 73,450 in Islamabad, 21,743 in Balochistan, 16,591 in Azad Kashmir and 5,258 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 11,588,932 coronavirus tests and 50,161 in the last 24 hours. 694,046 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,862 patients are in critical condition.
