Need to look into funds received by outlawed TLP from abroad: Fawad

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that the government will have to look into the aid received by the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) from abroad, adding that it also needs to be investigated that which land is being used against Pakistan.

Talking to Dunya News program ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath, Fawad Chaudhry said that there were 32,000 tweets in just one hour yesterday, all from India. What is the reason behind Indian support for the movement in Pakistan, he added.

The Federal Minister said that an attempt was made to take the matter forward in an organized manner. It is in our interest to resolve the matter peacefully.

He said that there are two parts of the current situation, one part is about the lovers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while the other part explains those who want to conquer Islamabad by utilizing this situation alleging that Fazlur Rehman wants to use this issue to conquer Islamabad.

He said that our life is incomplete without love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Answering a question regarding shutter down strike in the country, he said that some big markets were closed in Karachi, while three or four wholesale markets in Lahore open for some time during Ramadan. Besides, there was no strike anywhere in Pakistan, said Minister.

"We want the issue to be resolved without violence, government is negotiating within the constitution and the law, he said.
