Pakistan reports 5,364 coronavirus cases, 110 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 110 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 745,182. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 15,982 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 5,364 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of deaths followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Most numbers of cases have been reported in Sindh.

Till now 270,963 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 261,173 in Punjab, 103,419 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 20,662 in Balochistan, 68,665 in Islamabad, 15,137 in Azad Kashmir and 5,163 in Gilgit-Baltistan.



Furthermore, 7,271 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,541 in Sindh, 2,796 in KP, 222 in Balochistan, 626 in Islamabad, 423 in Azad Kashmir and 103 in GB.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 11,007,252 coronavirus tests and 64,481 in the last 24 hours. 650,775 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,302 patients are in critical condition.
