SHC grants bail to Haleem Adil Shaikh in two cases

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday granted bail to Sindh Assembly’s Opposition Leader Haleem Adil Shaikh in two cases.

As per details, the court ordered the accused to deposit surety bonds of Rs0.2 million for each case.

The two cases pertains to attack on police and interference in government duties and disruption.

It is pertinent to mention here that the opposition leader approached the SHC after an anti-terrorism court had rejected his bail pleas.

On February 16, 2021, Karachi police had arrested Haleem Adil Sheikh for disturbing the peace and voting process in PS-88 by-election.

Four cases under terrorism sections were lodged against him for interference in official affairs, insurrection and aerial firing.
