NAB Executive Board meeting approves inquiries of 12 corruption cases
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - In an important meeting of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Executive Board chaired by Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, formal inquiries into 12 corruption cases have been approved. Chairman NAB said that all resources are being utilized to bring mega corruption cases to a logical conclusion.
According to details, the NAB Executive Board on Wednesday approved these formal inquiries, including corruption inquiry against Sindh Workers Welfare Board officials and corruption inquiry against former Quetta nazim Maqbool Ahmed Lehri.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairman NAB said that corruption is the root of all evils and a surgery is the need of the hour to eradicate this menace.
He said that bringing mega corruption cases against ‘big fishes’ to a logical conclusion and eradication of corruption from the country was the top priority of NAB. It is pursuing a policy of accountability for all in accordance with the law with the aim of making Pakistan corruption-free.
