PTI to focus on legislation after becoming largest party in Senate: Shibli
Accountability process in country is not as expected: Shibli
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Senator Shibli Faraz has said that accountability process in the country is not as expected. PTI has emerged as a majority party in the Senate, now we will focus on legislation.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad he said that the government has no influence over the NAB and the courts. The prime minister s priority is to reform institutions. For the last ten years, the rulers have been trying to paralyze the country s institutions.
He said that Maryam Nawaz in her statement yesterday had threatened which reflected her mind set adding that the purpose of her speech was to provoke the workers.
Condemning the JUI-F leader Fazal-ur-Rehman s approach of creating chaos, he said being the religious leader he should not indulge himself in such activities.
Senator Shibli Faraz said that Maryam Nawaz was making statements to attack on the institution. The threat to appear in NAB in groups was reprehensible. He alleged that they supported land mafia during their tenure adding that these are the people who attacked the Supreme Court.
The PTI leader said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would not come under pressure from such threats. These people want to cover up their black deeds.
We will not be blackmailed by anyone. Even if they stand upside down, they will not get NRO. All the efforts of the PDM have come to naught, said Shibli.
