The US State Department has said that Pakistan is a key ally and the US will continue civilian aid to Pakistan.State Department spokesperson Victoria Newland said that US Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton had already talked about ceasing Pakistan’s military aid.She said that Pakistan would have to take some specific measures for the resumption of military aid. But she did not give the detail of specific measures.However, she said that Pakistan had been informed about those measures.The spokesperson said that the presence of the US training staff was necessary in Pakistan but Pakistan was not giving permission.The US citizens are being denied Pakistani visas, Newland said, adding that there were many other issues and efforts were being made to resolve them.
